Position Description:

Dr. Kumaran Kannaiyan is developing a research laboratory that focuses on sustainable / alternative energy systems. His research directions are alternative fuels. More details about Dr. Kumaran¡¯s research profile can be found in GTIIT Official Website.

Duties and Responsibilities:

¡¤? ??Assist in purchase or procurement of lab equipment

¡¤? ? Responsible for the installation and commissioning of experimental instruments and equipment

¡¤?Update user-specific lab instructions or operating manuals according to the equipment's instruction manual

¡¤?Responsible for daily maintenance of experimental instruments/equipment to ensure their daily operation

¡¤??Maintaining the lab equipment in collaboration with the technical support of the equipment suppliers

¡¤????? Training new lab instructors in operating the equipment for each experiment

¡¤????? Maintaining the safety procedures of the lab

¡¤????? Provide support to teaching or research projects in the lab

¡¤????? Take care of routine administrative tasks

¡¤????? Other duties assigned by the lab head

¡¤????? Responsible for the procurement process and providing assistance to researchers in the local procurement of equipment

Required Job Specifications:

¡¤????? Bachelor OR Master OR PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering.

¡¤????? Experience in building experimental setups.

¡¤????? Good spoken English for essential communication and ability to work as a team member.
