Position Description:
The research group of Prof. Cheng LI in Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute and Technology is looking for the Lab Manager/Lab Technician to conduct research project. Candidates with solid background in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Instrumentation, Electrical Automation, Aerospace Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Fluid Mechanics, or related fields are welcome to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:
·?????? Operate and maintain laboratory equipment under the supervisor’s guidance, and provide hardware and software technical support to team members.
·?????? Lead the full-cycle development of an anti-disturbance UAV-based wind measurement platform, and solve hardware/software optimization problems.
·?????? Design and lead field experiments throughout the full project cycle, ensuring high-fidelity and reproducible field data.
·?????? Manage and process UAV experimental data.
·?????? Oversee routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UAV systems, and train student team members in UAV operation and experimental techniques.

Required Job Specifications (Meet at least three of the following criteria)
·?????? Required qualification / academic degree: Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Instrumentation, Electrical Automation, Aerospace Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Fluid Mechanics, or related fields. Ph.D. degree and prior experience in a university research laboratory are preferred.
·?????? Required experience:? At least 3 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end multirotor UAV development, with the ability to independently carry out UAV platform customization/modification, multi-sensor integration (e.g., ultrasonic anemometer, RTK), and hardware/software joint debugging.
·?????? Holder of a civil UAV pilot license such as UTC, AOPA, or equivalent, with practical and organizational experience in long-term field flight experiments in complex terrain.
·?????? Familiarity with mainstream flight control platforms such as Pixhawk (PX4/ArduPilot) and DJI, including debugging and secondary development; ability to develop, customize, modify, and optimize open-source flight control systems; proficiency in integrating and interfacing multiple sensors via serial, Ethernet, CAN bus, etc.; and capability in driver development, debugging, and stable deployment for flight control systems, sensors, and actuators.
·?????? With the ability to conduct independent research and write academic papers.

Required Job Competencies:? ? ???
·?????? Experience in UAV operations for atmospheric observation, meteorological sensing, or wind farm wind measurement. (Preferred)
·?????? Familiarity with the use and data interfacing of sensors such as 3D ultrasonic anemometers, LiDAR, and RTK positioning systems. (Preferred)
·?????? ?Basic knowledge of the atmospheric boundary layer and turbulence, with experience in research-oriented field experiments. (Preferred)???????????????????????
